Group Neurostatus-EDSS Training Session

Neurostatus-UHB can provide group training sessions for raters per study at the Sponsor’s request, with the aim of familiarising the raters with the Neurostatus-EDSS, and of preparing raters for taking the e-Test and achieving certification.  The training is conducted by Neurostatus-UHB CEO Marcus D’Souza or one of the team of Neurostatus-UHB experts and is intended to complement the self-study material. It can be provided either in person (e.g. at an Investigator’s Meeting) or online.  It provides an excellent opportunity for raters to ask questions regarding any challenges or difficulties they encountered during their self-training, or to deepen their understanding of the Neurostatus-EDSS in general.

The training can be provided as follows:

  • Online training: up to 50 raters per session, duration of 60 -90 minutes
  • Face-to-face training (e.g. at Investigator Meeting): unlimited raters, duration of 90 -120 minutes

In addition, the Neurostatus-UHB CEO Marcus D’Souza and his team of expert neurologists are available for customised training sessions tailored to any learning and development requirement, ranging from internal training for Sponsor operational staff and clinical staff to professional development contexts, or informational training sessions for MS Societies or registries.

One-to-one Online Neurostatus- EDSS Training Session for Individual Raters

Additional Neurostatus-EDSS training is mandatory for raters who have failed four attempts at certification. It is conducted online by Neurostatus-UHB experts and consists of a short form of EDSS group training sessions, with particular focus on the specific questions of the rater(s) in question. The duration of individual training is 45 minutes, and between 1 and 3 raters can attend per session. Depending on our availability it can be provided in English,  Spanish and German.

If a rater requires this training, the study administrator (not the rater) must request the training from Neurostatus and provide budgetary authorisation for it to go ahead.

Are you a study administrator?

After submission we will check your request and get back to you with a link to our training calendar.

Practise Test

Neurostatus has developed an additional tool to prepare raters for their e-Test after having undergone Neurostatus-EDSS training, in the form of an online Practice Test

Raters can take this practice test as many times as they want free of charge.
